Desejo Proibido (Forbidden Desire) is a Brazilian soap opera (novela) that finished a month ago. The story was set in the 1930's and told the story of a young catholic priest that went incognito to the interior of Brazil (Minas Gerais) to investigate the miraculous stone Virgin in a cavern. But he falls in love with the girl of the first miracle, that was found out in the river when was a baby and cured by the mercy of the Virgin, or so people believes. The girl, Laura, fall in love with him, and they start a turbulent romance, because he is a priest and cannot tell her, but is absolutely trapped. The girl has a fiancé and he will not let Miguel and Laura be happy together. I did not watch a complete soap opera for a long time, but I loved it!
